4-mem­ber gang ar­rested

KUWAIT: MoI’s Re­la­tions and Se­cu­rity Me­dia Depart­ment said po­lice have ar­rested a fourmem­ber Egyp­tian gang who are wanted for cur­rency, visas, res­i­dency and civil ID forg­eries. Case pa­pers in­di­cate that Hawalli de­tec­tives had been tipped off con­cern­ing one of the sus­pects’ ac­tiv­i­ties. Three pass­ports with fake res­i­dency visa stamps were found their pos­ses­sion. The sus­pect also ad­mit­ted to forg­ing KD 10 rev­enue stamps in col­lab­o­ra­tion with three other sus­pects. The sus­pects also con­fessed to forg­ing Kuwaiti di­nar.

Rob­bery sus­pect

An Egyp­tian has been ar­rested for steal­ing a hand bag from an Ira­nian man in­clud­ing KD 600, a mo­bile phone and a mini router, se­cu­rity sources said. The Ira­nian re­ported that some­one snatched away his hand bag and ran away. The man added that he pur­sued the sus­pect but could not catch him. The sus­pect was ar­rested two days later. He con­fessed to steal­ing the bag.

Drug traf­fick­ing

A cit­i­zen was re­cently ar­rested for drug traf­fick­ing, said se­cu­rity sources not­ing that the sus­pect was caught red-handed while try­ing to sell two bars of hashish to a se­cret agent for KD 100. The sources added that the sus­pect led the po­lice to another cit­i­zen who usu­ally pro­vides him with the drug. The sec­ond sus­pect was later ar­rested and a quar­ter kilo of Hashish was found in his pos­ses­sion.
