Petroleum college overcrowded

- By A Saleh

Dean of the College of Petroleum and Engineering at Kuwait University Prof Abdullatif Al-Khlaifi said that the college’s labs need periodic maintenance according to a special contract and that the delay in the college’s budget has been holding up maintenance operations, although studies are highly dependent on lab apparatuses. Khlaifi added that the total number of students at the college is 5,000, which is beyond its capacity of 3,600. “This means that some sections include 45 students though the ideal number should be 18,” he underlined.
