Kuwait grabs 3rd place in disabled women forum
DOHA: Kuwait’s Anfal Bo Hamad clinched third place on Thursday in drawing and collages art category contest, which is part of the ongoing first GCC handicrafts forum for disabled women which kicked off on Wednesday. Anfal’s mother, Najat Al-Reyahi, expressed her pride and joy in her daughter’s valuable achievement, pointing out GCC officials’ appreciation and care in the disabilities fields, and their deep attention to the handicapped and special need ones.
Al-Reyahi dedicated her daughter’s achievement to the Kuwaiti leadership, government, and people, praising her country’s significant care for the disabled ones through facilitating all potentials to provide them with the most appropriate environment to discover and launch their skills and talents. This prize is a new addition to Anfal’s several achievements she attained on local, regional, and international levels, AlReyahi said, pointing out her daughter’s superiority in memorizing the Holy Quran, in addition to other GCC excellence contests. A number of ministries, state authorities, civil community bodies, and private sectors in Gulf countries are currently taking part in the forum.

It is organized by the Rehabilitation International (RI), Regional Social Responsibility Network, and Maximize for Training and Consulting, and includes a number of workshops that highlight disabled women’s capabilities, in addition to showcasing a number of experiences by the participants. — KUNA
