HH the Crown Prince shooting tournament to conclude today
HH the Crown Prince Shooting Tournament comes to a conclusion this evening in the presence of Crown Prince representative Information Minister, State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
Several activities were prepared by the higher organizing committee to go along with the closing ceremony in addition to distributing cups and prizes.
The start of the tournament was very strong and competition was fierce to have the honor of winning of the tournament which launches the 2016/2017 season.
President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, Deputy President of Kuwait Olympic Committee thanked Crown Prince’s Paternal support of Kuwaiti athletes and his keen interest in the development of the shooting sport.
Al-Otaibi said that we are launching the local shooting sports season with a dear tournament to all shooters and having the name of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who always accustomed us on supporting athletes in Kuwait. He said Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex is hosting Kuwaiti and Gulf shooters from Qatar, Bahrain and UAE in a tournament that covers all Olympic events pistol, rifle, shotgun and archery.
He added that the complex is distinguished by having all facilities required, and Kuwait shooters are ready and all are capable of winning.
Results of the tournament were as follows:
In the double trap event men, Hamad AlAfasi was first, followed by UAE’s Khalid AlKaabi, while third place went to Hamad Al-Afasi.
In the 10m air rifle men Abdallah Al-Harby was first, Mohammad Adel second and Khalid Al-Subaie third.
In the 10m pistol Ali Al-Mutairi was first followed by Hamed Al-Namshan in second and Mideth Al-Sahly third.
In the 10m air pistol women Israa Bahmun first, Huthama Al-Baghly second and Israa Dashti third.
In the 10m air rifle women, Heba Erzouqi first, Mariam Erzouqi second and Muneera Al-Anjari third.
In skeet women event Sheikha Al-Rashidi ended in first place, followed by Fatima Al-Zaabi and Afrah Mohammad was in third place.
In the trap women event, Sarah Al-Hawal took first place followed by Shahad Al-Huwal in second and Asma AlQatami in third.
