Nissan Al-Babtain unveils new Patrol V6

- By Nawara Fattahova

Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al Babtain Co, the authorized agent of Nissan vehicles in Kuwait, launched the all-new Nissan Patrol V6 on Oct 19 at the Basel AlSabah Circuit along the Seventh Ring Road. This vehicle is a new addition to the Nissan family, and it will be available in about 10 days’ time at all Al-Babtain showrooms.

This is the first preview of the vehicle in the Middle East as part of the ‘Desert v City’ marketing campaign. “This slogan expresses that this vehicle has been modified to suit both desert and city driving through its wide array of abilities, strong body and offroad performance system, along with a luxurious cabin that provides a smooth driving experience on roads in the city. This vehicle has been designed for all conditions,” said Mohamma d Shalabi, Chief Operating Officer at Al-Babtian Group.

According to Shalabi, Nissan’s market share in Kuwait is around 11 percent, which he considers as good, as it’s in second place. “All these campaigns and activities that we hold during the year should help us increase our market share and provide more value additions to the brand in Kuwait,” he said. Al-Babtain also focuses on aftersales services. “Buying a Nissan vehicle is not just a purchase experience, but a user experience as well. Our aftersales service centers are both increasing in number and improving their quality,” Shalabi told Kuwait Times.

The Nissan Patrol V6 is the newest addition to the Nissan family. “We have the pickup, hardtop and Safari, the new V6 and V8, and the desert edition, which was specially designed for the desert and was designed to deal strongly with the heat, and the most luxurious Nismo,” he said. The new Patrol V6 has all the advantages and functions of the V8. “It has all the features including the luxury, strong performance, safety options and others, but at a lower price, which will attract a new category of consumers for Patrol vehicles. So we now offer the full Patrol experience at a lower price. Typically, the V6 consumes lesser fuel as it’s a sixcylinder vehicle, which will be an advantage for those who want to save money,” he explained.

“Until now, the market has not been affected by the hike in petrol prices, as these were changed only recently. So we haven’t notice any effect yet. But after six months or a year, we will definitely conduct a survey on the effects of this increase on our sales,” concluded Shalabi.
