Jar­al­lah stresses Gulf se­cu­rity agree­ment

Jar­al­lah added that now that the for­mer Na­tional Assem­bly has been re­solved due to the hard se­cu­rity de­vel­op­ments and cir­cum­stances, it is, thence, nec­es­sary to adopt and ap­prove this agree­ment. He noted that the Kuwaiti gov­ern­ment would present the draft agree­ment to the next par­lia­ment, hop­ing that it would be passed.

Mean­while, Jar­al­lah said that Kuwait is ded­i­cated to its hu­man­i­tar­ian and re­lief ef­forts, as per or­ders of His High­ness the Amir. Ad­dress­ing a ques­tion over whether Kuwait’s con­tri­bu­tions to hu­man­i­tar­ian ef­forts has di­min­ished due to plum­met­ing oil prices, he said that “these cir­cum­stances have been thrust upon the en­tire world.”—KUNA

More­over, the Deputy For­eign Min­is­ter pin­pointed some of Kuwait’s most notable con­tri­bu­tions to hu­man­i­tar­ian needs, in­clud­ing the fourth hu­man­i­tar­ian donor’s con­fer­ence for Syria and other sim­i­lar events.
