Kuwaiti Ambassador to Germany visits EQUATE’s stand at K 2016

Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Germany Monther Al-Essa visited the booth of EQUATE Petrochemical Company, Kuwait’s first international joint-venture in this industry, during the International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber (K 2016). Taking place in Dusseldorf, Germany, during October 19-26, K 2016 is considered the world’s biggest event of its type.

Ambassador Essa said, “His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed his vision to transform Kuwait into a financial and commercial hub. For this to be achieved, economic diversification through developing the industrial sector is a key factor. Kuwait’s industrial presence is prominent throughout different parts of the world as we export a number of main commodities, such as petrochemicals that are utilized in manufacturing plastics and other products. With petrochemical products currently forming over 60% of the value of Kuwait’s non-oil exports, this industry has an evident role in diversifying income sources and the global presence of Kuwaiti industries. We are proud to see Kuwait being represented at K 2016 through EQUATE’s participation.”

EQUATE Polyethylene Business Director and President of EQUATE Marketing Company (EMC) Ahmad Al-Saleh said, “Throughout the past 20 years, EQUATE has formed solid collaboration locally and worldwide with all stakeholders. Through this collaboration, EQUATE has maintained excellence based on Quality, Reliability, Sustainability, Growth and Successful Partnerships. EQUATE has production facilities and customers in various parts of the world. EQUATE is participating in K 2016 under the theme ‘We Care. We Deliver’ as we have just completed the debottlenecking project to increase our polyethylene production capacity from 825,000 MTA to almost 1 million MTA. During the visit, Ambassador Essa was accompanied by Saleh and other members of EQUATE’s staff for a tour around K 2016 to view the event’s various activities. The tour included visiting the display stands of global machine manufacturers promoting their equipment at K 2016 using EQUATE’s polyethylene products.
