Names of hope­fuls for par­lia­men­tary elec­tions race on last regis­tra­tion day

KUWAIT:

Some 42 can­di­dates joined the elec­toral race on the 10th and last day of regis­tra­tion yes­ter­day, a month away from par­lia­men­tary elec­tions slated for Novem­ber 26th. The First Con­stituency yielded the fol­low­ing eight hope­fuls: Jasem Mo­ham­mad Bu Hindi Al-Ali, Saad Mo­ham­mad Farhan Al-Mu­far­reh, Ab­dul­hadi Qam­bar Mo­ham­mad Ali Hus­sein, Ab­dul­wahid Mo­ham­mad Shaa­ban Habib Mo­ham­mad Khal­fan, Ali Dar­weesh Ali Hassan Ibrahim Al-Man­souri, Hani Ah­mad Qur­ban Ha­jji Mo­ham­mad, Hani Mo­ham­mad Ab­dul­rahim Bushehri and Waleed Ah­mad Yaqoub Yousef.

More­over, the Sec­ond Con­stituency pro­duced can­di­dates, who were: Ban­dar Mu­jaibil Naser Al-Enezi, Hasan Naji Ibrahim Hus­sein AlBahrani, Saud Saad Mo­ham­mad Rashed AlMu­tairi, Ab­dul­hameed Khal­ifa Mo­ham­mad Hamad Al-Shayji and Mo­ham­mad Bar­rak AlMu­tair.

Mean­while, seven can­di­dates reg­is­tered in the Third Con­stituency, in­clud­ing Ah­mad Mo­ham­mad Tahir Al-Ban­nai, Bas­sam Mo­ham­mad Ab­dul­rah­man Al-As­four, Ja­mal Ab­dul­lah Mulla Saeed Mo­ham­mad, Zaid Saleh Faraj Saeed, Ab­du­laziz Saad Mo­ham­mad Saad Al-Mu­naifi, Ab­dul­lah Salem Hus­sein Kha­laf AlDoob and Fowzi Saqr Fahd Al-Saqr.

The Fourth Con­stituency pro­duced the fol­low­ing 11 can­di­dates: Ah­mad Nas­sar AlShu­ra­ian, Bader Sa­hab Al-Muwaizri, Ja­mal Saad Ya­teem Al-Enezi, Reem Ghafel Zayed AlAd­wani, Saeed Hameed Ab­dul­ra­heem AlDashti, Am­mar Hus­sein Ab­dul­lah Al-Sayegh, Ghazi Fares Ab­dul­lah Jwaizi Al-Oteibi, Fawaz Saud Maeedh Al-Azmi, Me­shari Mo­ham­mad Thawab Al-Mutaw­tah, Mahdi Hus­sein Ha­jji Redha Fairuz and Yousef Sayyed Mahdi Sayyed Yousef Al-Rad­hwi.

The Fifth Con­stituency saw Jasem Ab­dul­lah Ja­maan Al-Ali, Hus­sein Sarhan Had­dad AlEnezi, Khaled Sal­man Shabib Abd Raie Al-Azmi, Sudan Ali Oqab Al-Sham­mari, Aali Ab­dul­lah Qablan Mi­j­bil Al-Rasheedi, Ab­dul­lah Salem Hus­sein Mah­moud Al-Failakawi, Alyan Al­loosh Awadh Al-Mur­tairi, Falah Saleh Muhawesh Sal­man, Mani’a Mo­ham­mad Mubarak Al-Ajmi, Hayef Nayef Mibtil Dwailan Al-Mu­tairi and Wael Mo­ham­mad Ghaleb Al-Bu­sairi.

Start­ing from yes­ter­day, and up un­til seven days be­fore elec­tions day, or Novem­ber 19, can­di­dates who wish to with­draw from the race can sub­mit a re­quest to the Elec­tions’ Af­fairs Depart­ment, Colonel Salah Al-Shatti, deputy direc­tor of the Depart­ment said.

He added that the Depart­ment, start­ing to­day will re­ceive ap­pli­ca­tions for can­di­dates’ rep­re­sen­ta­tives at polling sta­tions in all con­stituen­cies. As per Law 20/2012, the first 10 can­di­dates with most votes will win a seat in par­lia­ment in each con­stituency. The elec­torate can only vote for one can­di­date per the con­stituency they’re reg­is­tered in.
