Names of hopefuls for parliamentary elections race on last registration day

Some 42 candidates joined the electoral race on the 10th and last day of registration yesterday, a month away from parliamentary elections slated for November 26th. The First Constituency yielded the following eight hopefuls: Jasem Mohammad Bu Hindi Al-Ali, Saad Mohammad Farhan Al-Mufarreh, Abdulhadi Qambar Mohammad Ali Hussein, Abdulwahid Mohammad Shaaban Habib Mohammad Khalfan, Ali Darweesh Ali Hassan Ibrahim Al-Mansouri, Hani Ahmad Qurban Hajji Mohammad, Hani Mohammad Abdulrahim Bushehri and Waleed Ahmad Yaqoub Yousef.
Moreover, the Second Constituency produced candidates, who were: Bandar Mujaibil Naser Al-Enezi, Hasan Naji Ibrahim Hussein AlBahrani, Saud Saad Mohammad Rashed AlMutairi, Abdulhameed Khalifa Mohammad Hamad Al-Shayji and Mohammad Barrak AlMutair.
Meanwhile, seven candidates registered in the Third Constituency, including Ahmad Mohammad Tahir Al-Bannai, Bassam Mohammad Abdulrahman Al-Asfour, Jamal Abdullah Mulla Saeed Mohammad, Zaid Saleh Faraj Saeed, Abdulaziz Saad Mohammad Saad Al-Munaifi, Abdullah Salem Hussein Khalaf AlDoob and Fowzi Saqr Fahd Al-Saqr.
The Fourth Constituency produced the following 11 candidates: Ahmad Nassar AlShuraian, Bader Sahab Al-Muwaizri, Jamal Saad Yateem Al-Enezi, Reem Ghafel Zayed AlAdwani, Saeed Hameed Abdulraheem AlDashti, Ammar Hussein Abdullah Al-Sayegh, Ghazi Fares Abdullah Jwaizi Al-Oteibi, Fawaz Saud Maeedh Al-Azmi, Meshari Mohammad Thawab Al-Mutawtah, Mahdi Hussein Hajji Redha Fairuz and Yousef Sayyed Mahdi Sayyed Yousef Al-Radhwi.
The Fifth Constituency saw Jasem Abdullah Jamaan Al-Ali, Hussein Sarhan Haddad AlEnezi, Khaled Salman Shabib Abd Raie Al-Azmi, Sudan Ali Oqab Al-Shammari, Aali Abdullah Qablan Mijbil Al-Rasheedi, Abdullah Salem Hussein Mahmoud Al-Failakawi, Alyan Alloosh Awadh Al-Murtairi, Falah Saleh Muhawesh Salman, Mani’a Mohammad Mubarak Al-Ajmi, Hayef Nayef Mibtil Dwailan Al-Mutairi and Wael Mohammad Ghaleb Al-Busairi.
Starting from yesterday, and up until seven days before elections day, or November 19, candidates who wish to withdraw from the race can submit a request to the Elections’ Affairs Department, Colonel Salah Al-Shatti, deputy director of the Department said.
He added that the Department, starting today will receive applications for candidates’ representatives at polling stations in all constituencies. As per Law 20/2012, the first 10 candidates with most votes will win a seat in parliament in each constituency. The electorate can only vote for one candidate per the constituency they’re registered in.
