KRCS con­tin­ues dis­tribut­ing bread to Syr­ian refugees

Kuwait Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety (KRCS) launched yes­ter­day the 28th bread dis­tribut­ing project ‘Raghif’ aimed at pro­vid­ing food for Syr­ian refugees in Le­banon. Syr­ian refugee fam­i­lies, sit­u­ated in Tripoli and nearby ar­eas, will ben­e­fit from the project, the so­ci­ety’s del­e­gate to Le­banon Dr Musa’ad AlEnezi yes­ter­day.

Enezi noted that KRCS will dis­trib­ute every day 2,000 packs of breads with each fam­ily re­ceiv­ing 14 large loaves. He re­vealed that KRCS will carry out a new cam­paign with the on­set of win­ter to sup­port thou­sands of vul­ner­a­ble Syr­i­ans who were forced to flee their con­flict-stricken towns and cities to seek refuge in neigh­bor­ing coun­tries.

Kuwait Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety has been very much ac­tive in Le­banon, de­liv­er­ing more than 50 mil­lion loaves to Syr­ian refugees since the erup­tion of the Syr­ian cri­sis in 2011. The Kuwait Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety and its main part­ner the Le­banese Red Cross co­or­di­nated ef­forts on var­i­ous so­cial and health projects to ease the lives of Syr­ian refugees in Le­banon. —
