KRCS continues distributi­ng bread to Syrian refugees

Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) launched yesterday the 28th bread distributi­ng project ‘Raghif’ aimed at providing food for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Syrian refugee families, situated in Tripoli and nearby areas, will benefit from the project, the society’s delegate to Lebanon Dr Musa’ad AlEnezi yesterday.

Enezi noted that KRCS will distribute every day 2,000 packs of breads with each family receiving 14 large loaves. He revealed that KRCS will carry out a new campaign with the onset of winter to support thousands of vulnerable Syrians who were forced to flee their conflict-stricken towns and cities to seek refuge in neighborin­g countries.

Kuwait Red Crescent Society has been very much active in Lebanon, delivering more than 50 million loaves to Syrian refugees since the eruption of the Syrian crisis in 2011. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society and its main partner the Lebanese Red Cross coordinate­d efforts on various social and health projects to ease the lives of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. —
