BRUSSELS: Kuwait’s ambassador to the Netherlands Shamlan Al-Roumi yesterday submitted credentials as the country’s representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague. The credentials were offered to the OPCW’s DirectorGeneral Ahmet Uzumcu in a meeting that also reviewed means of boosting bilateral ties, the embassy said in a release. Roumi reiterated Kuwait’s support to the OPCW’s activities, lauding the organization’s role to get rid of chemical weapons. —
