BRUSSELS: Kuwait’s ambassador to the Netherland­s Shamlan Al-Roumi yesterday submitted credential­s as the country’s representa­tive to the Organizati­on for the Prohibitio­n of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague. The credential­s were offered to the OPCW’s DirectorGe­neral Ahmet Uzumcu in a meeting that also reviewed means of boosting bilateral ties, the embassy said in a release. Roumi reiterated Kuwait’s support to the OPCW’s activities, lauding the organizati­on’s role to get rid of chemical weapons. —
