NREC hosts Kuwait Cycling Organization’s Cycleague event at Souq Sharq

The National Real Estate Company (NREC), one of the leading real estate companies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), hosted the Cycleague event held by the Kuwait Cycling Organization at SouqSharq Waterfront.

Launched in 2015, the competitive activity is a race comprising four stages where each stage takes place in one of Kuwait’s governorates in different months of the year. The kick-off stage was hosted at NREC’s SouqSharq in October under the theme, ‘Health.’ The three remaining stages will be held in January, March and May, each under a different theme and governorate.

The route of the race is 5km long starting from Souq Sharq Waterfront to Kuwait Towers and back, with men contestants cycling 10 laps and women cycling 5 laps respectively. More than 140 participants from across the Gulf region took part in the race to win the title of stage one until the second stage taking place in January 2017.
