Cadil­lac Al­ghanim sup­ports Breast Can­cer Aware­ness month

As part of its on­go­ing ef­forts to shed light on so­cial is­sues that re­ally af­fect the peo­ple of Kuwait, Yusuf A Al­ghanim and Sons Au­to­mo­tive, the ex­clu­sive dis­trib­u­tor of Cadil­lac ve­hi­cles in Kuwait, was the Gold Spon­sor of this year’s Breast Can­cer Aware­ness sem­i­nar that was held at the Jumeirah Mes­si­lah Beach Ho­tel & Spa, Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 22. The event was part of the Amer­i­can Women’s League’s (AWL) breast can­cer aware­ness cam­paign, which was ti­tled un­der the slo­gan, “Fight Like a Girl...Round 2.” More than 500 guests at­tended the event, in­clud­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Cadil­lac Al­ghanim, Gen­eral Mo­tors, AWL and the me­dia.

Vic­to­ria Sil­ver­man, the spouse of the Am­bas­sador from the United States, started the main event by ring­ing the bell and wel­com­ing the guests and other am­bas­sadors. Mo­hamed El Talkhawi, Gen­eral Man­ager of Cadil­lac Al­ghanim, fol­lowed by giv­ing a short speech, ex­press­ing the com­pany’s sol­i­dar­ity with all women who are fight­ing breast can­cer on a daily ba­sis. In ad­mi­ra­tion of their ef­forts, Cadil­lac Al­ghanim show­cased a pink­col­ored XT5 at the en­trance of the ballroom as a sym­bol of em­pow­er­ment and unity, along with a “wall of fame” dis­play where guests were able to take pic­tures next to the stun­ningly in­spir­ing ve­hi­cle.For this year’s event, AWL pro­duced an ed­u­ca­tional fiver­ound bat­tle against breast can­cer. Round One con­sisted of three can­cer sur­vivors shar­ing their per­sonal sto­ries about bat­tling a life al­ter­ing dis­ease. Speak­ers in the re­main­ing rounds dis­cussed di­ag­nos­ing breast can­cer and treat­ment op­tions for both men and women. Later, a lec­ture ad­dressed men­tal health well­ness for can­cer pa­tients and fam­ily mem­bers.

Dur­ing the sem­i­nar, at­ten­dees were treated to mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment and a raf­fle spon­sored by Cadil­lac Al­ghanim, where par­tic­i­pants got to win gift vouch­ers and in­vi­ta­tions to test-drive the Cadil­lac XT5 MY 17 for a week.
