TSC holds cancer awareness seminar for staff
Driven by its social commitment to effectively contribute to the wellbeing of its staff while taking all necessary initiatives to spread the awareness and guidance about serious health issues The Sultan Center, organized an awareness seminar under the theme “Together We Can, Fight It, Beat, It, Erase It,” in collaboration with Cancer Aware Nation Association (CAN), about the prevention and early detection of cancer.
Attended by a gathering of female staff the lecture given by Dr Maha Abdullah, specialist in medical oncology shed light on the importance of; health screenings, self-examination and early detection in preventing cancer and the need to pursue a healthy lifestyle. “TSC has taken this initiative in collaboration with CANs to organize this lecture for our staff to educate and spread and create awareness on the importance of prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer should it occur”, said Lisa Al-Ghareeb Marketing Manager,
TSC is further raising awareness amongst its staff on maintaining a healthy and balanced diet including adding exercise to one’s daily routine that may help to reduce a person’s risk of developing cancer. More than 25 ladies of TSC employees attended the seminar and showed a great interest in learning more about breast cancer and prevention methods in an interactive atmosphere. TSC would like to thank CANs, for organizing this health seminar and helping to address this health issue which is affecting the community.
