KIB’s cricket team wins match against Gulf Bank

In their first game of this season of the Kuwait Banks Club (KBC) League, Kuwait Internatio­nal Bank’s cricket team recently won their match against Gulf Bank’s team by 5 wickets.

After winning the toss, Gulf Bank elected to bat first, but KIB’s team kicked off the game with determinat­ion and skill. KIB’s bowlers exerted pressure from the very beginning and took wickets with regular intervals, restrictin­g the Gulf Bank team to only 117 runs. The KIB team then opened its innings with confidence and a fierce attitude, despite one of its players getting injured and having to leave the game.

With this victory, KIB scored a win in its first game of the 2016-2017 season of Kuwait Banks Club (KBC) League, winning the match in 19th over with 5 wickets spare. Furthermor­e, KIB’s Ali Merji was named “Man of the Match” for his impressive performanc­e during the game. Congratula­ting the team on their win, the Bank’s Management wished the Cricket team a successful season with plenty of more victories to follow.
