Mosque blast’s belt maker ar­rested in Saudi

Saudi au­thor­i­ties ar­rested a man ac­cused of mak­ing the ex­plo­sive belt that was used in a ter­ror­ist at­tack at the Al-Sadeq Mosque in Kuwait last year. The man was ar­rested at a check­point when he raised sus­pi­cions af­ter he tried to es­cape. He was ar­rested along with an­other fugi­tive fol­low­ing a brief chase, then trans­ported to a max­i­mum se­cu­rity prison, said sources with knowl­edge of the case. Saudi and Kuwaiti au­thor­i­ties are cur­rently co­or­di­nat­ing with re­gards to the sus­pect’s ex­tra­di­tion to Kuwait for trial, the sources said.
