Telangana Jagruthi Kuwait ‘BANGARU BATHUKAMMA’ a social cultural event
The full day event held at the Hilton Hotel Resort Mangaf and Touristic Park Abbasiya on 13th of October consisted the making of Bathukamma and the main event was organized by Telangana Jagruthi Kuwait under Patronage of Mr Hari Prasad Chellamsetty, Telangana Jagruthi Kuwait President Mr Vinay Muthyala and team members were welcomed with enthusiasm.
The special guests received a grand welcome at Kuwait international airport by Telangana Jagruthi Kuwait team and other prominent people from Kuwait. The event started at 9am in Hilton Hotel Telangana’s prominent women’s group gathering welcomed guest of honor Kalvakuntla Kavitha and her team.
Bathukamma (‘Mother Goddess come Alive’) represents the cultural spirit of Telangana Kalvakuntla Kavitha is an ambassador of this cultural event. Kavithakka took pledge to keep alive this age old tradition of making Bathukamma. She herself sat to make beautiful flower stack, she arranged flower pyramid with different unique seasonal flowers most of them with medicinal values imported from Telangana Region to Kuwait. She also sang folk songs while arranging seven concentric layers of the different color flowers in the shape of temple gopuram along with nonresidents of Telangana and Kuwaiti women’s group. While making bathukamma, Ms Abhilasha Suresh interviewed her, the live interview was telecasted in regional televisions of Telangana and in all Jagruthi organization websites.
Thousands of Telanganites from across Kuwait hit the Touristic Park Abbasiya auditorium Second half of the event started at Touristic Park Abbasiya Auditorium with welcomed the auspicious gathering a warm welcome by hosts Mrs Vijaya Nirmala Yadav Nair and Abhilasha Suresh, as they set the mood for the special evening of the day.
The Special Guests were welcomed on stage with a warm and cheerful welcome by the audience. This was followed with an impressive performance of classical dance which was performed by Telangana’s blooming talents Vishnu Priya by Shivathandav. The event was women centric to facilitation of the women. A large number of women gathered in the auditorium were eagerly waiting for the moment to dance traditional dance of Bathukamma with Kavithagaru Souvenir was released by the chief guests and the guest of honors with TJK members. The TJK president Muthyala Vinay thanked Deputy Chief of Mission at Indian Embassy M Sub hashish Goldar, all well-wishers, distinguished guests and extended special thanks to the event sponsors in his message he enhanced the importance of bathukamma and its upliftment by respecting our traditional and local culture.
The special evening of public event was continued with grand welcome of famous celebrity artist of V6 news channel teen Maar fame Ms Matakari Mangli with great applause from the audience the colorful Cultural Programs presented by Mangli captured audions attention for more than an hour which indeed a mind blowing musical treat to the audience. The event was concluded by Vote of thanks presented by Mr Gangadhar GK.
