45 ATVs im­pounded in traf­fic po­lice crack­down

KUWAIT: The In­te­rior Min­istry launched in­spec­tion cam­paigns against traf­fic vi­o­la­tions, in­clud­ing driv­ing all-ter­rain-ve­hi­cles (ATV) on pub­lic roads, which came fol­low­ing in­struc­tions of Un­der­sec­re­tary Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Suleiman Al-Fa­had. Dur­ing crack­downs around Kuwait, 53 tick­ets were is­sued, 45 ATVs and mo­tor­bikes, as well as six cars were im­pounded, while four teenagers were ar­rested and re­ferred to the Ju­ve­niles Pub­lic Prose­cu­tion for fur­ther ac­tion. Mean­while, six driv­ers were ar­rested for reck­less driv­ing.

On Thurs­day, the In­te­rior Min­istry an­nounced that 281 tick­ets were is­sued and 41 ve­hi­cles were im­pounded dur­ing a traf­fic cam­paign car­ried out around Kuwait re­cently. Mean­while, one teenager was ar­rested, while an ex­pa­tri­ate driver was de­ported for driv­ing with­out a li­cense. In the mean­time, one ATV was im­pounded for vi­o­lat­ing the law that bans driv­ing ATVs on pub­lic roads.
