Get in­spired by the power of imag­ing: Canon re­it­er­ates commitment with chan­nel com­mu­nity

Canon Mid­dle East, a leader in imag­ing so­lu­tions re­in­forced its commitment to both chan­nel part­ners by award­ing them Mid­dle East Chan­nel Awards for their busi­ness per­for­mances and in­no­va­tive selling prac­tices.

This was part of an exclusive two-day event that saw 170 key op­er­a­tional de­ci­sion mak­ers from Canon’s tier-1 and tier-2 chan­nel part­ners from across the Mid­dle East re­gion re­dis­cover the power of imag­ing.

In the Mid­dle East re­gion, Emax UAE bagged the Canon Mid­dle East Per­for­mance Award for 2016 in the DSLR and lens cat­e­gory, con­sid­ered as a prime busi­ness sec­tion for Canon. Car­refour UAE bagged the Canon Mid­dle East Per­for­mance Award for 2016 in the Com­pact Cam­eras & Sel­phy sec­tion. Me­dia Square from Le­banon won the award for Pro-Imag­ing seg­ment while Ex­tra in KSA won the award for inkjet cat­e­gory of print­ers.

Canon also recog­nised their re­tail­ers for in­no­va­tive selling prac­tices across the Mid­dle East re­gion. Sharaf DG at Times Square in UAE and Sharaf DG in Bahrain won the Canon Mid­dle East Cus­tomer Ex­pe­ri­ence & Dis­play 2016 award. The Lulu chain of Su­per­mar­kets won the Canon Mid­dle East In­no­va­tive Selling Con­cepts 2016 award across their out­lets in UAE, KSA, Oman and Qatar.

Held in Dubai, the ‘Imag­ing In­spired’ event show­cased Canon’s lat­est and most pow­er­ful tech­nol­ogy across cam­eras, print­ers and pro­jec­tors through a se­ries of events. On day one of the event, the chan­nel part­ners took part in a movie mak­ing work­shop us­ing Canon lastest Cin­ema EOS and DSLR equip­ment while on day 2, they at­tended a ses­sion from Face­book on Dig­i­tal Trends in the re­gion. The event con­cluded with a gala show that in­cluded the UserEx­pe­ri­ence launch of the 5D Mark IV given by Mark Wil­liams , pro­fes­sional Photographer & Cin­e­matog­ra­pher, Launch of Canon Academy, Pixma Cre­ative Park for Canon Inkjet Print­ers and Canon Photo Com­mu­nity web por­tal. Canon also show­cased its XEED range of pro­jec­tors by hold­ing an exclusive demo ses­sion where au­di­ence in­ter­acted with the pro­jec­tors us­ing their hand ges­tures.

“When it comes to tech­nol­ogy, per­for­mance and range, Canon is an un­doubted leader in the imag­ing and busi­ness so­lu­tions cat­e­gory,” said Hen­drik Ver­brug­ghe, Mar­ket­ing Di­rec­tor, Canon Mid­dle East and Canon Cen­tral and North Africa. “While this success is de­pen­dent on a va­ri­ety of fac­tors, one el­e­ment that re­mains of paramount im­por­tance is our on­go­ing commitment ser­vice to both our end users, through the de­vel­op­ment of chan­nel part­ners and deal­ers across the Mid­dle East, as well as our ser­vice to those re­tail part­ners.” In ad­di­tion to fea­tur­ing cam­eras such as the EOS 5DS and EOS 750D, Canon also used the event as an op­por­tu­nity to show­case a range of imag­ing prod­ucts in­clud­ing cam­eras: the Pow­er­shot G3X, the XC10, the EOS C300 MKII, and the Le­gria Mini X; print­ers such as the Pixma MG7540 and Pixma Pro-1; as well as the CS-100 connect sta­tion, and the WUX400ST pro­jec­tor. “Our chan­nel part­ners are in­valu­able in fu­elling our growth across the re­gion and through events such as Imag­ing In­spired, Canon’s ro­bust chan­nel sup­port, in­cen­tives and mar­ket­ing pro­grammes, we are cre­at­ing ever-more re­ward­ing re­la­tion­ships which, in turn, result in great end user ex­pe­ri­ences at ev­ery stage,” added Ver­brug­ghe.
