Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds or­ga­nizes blood do­na­tion drive

Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds, one of the lead­ing jew­elry group with 159 re­tail out­lets glob­ally in­tends to bring a sig­nif­i­cant dif­fer­ence to the so­ci­ety by spread­ing the im­por­tance of blood do­na­tion. As a part of this ini­tia­tive their CSR team or­ga­nized a blood do­na­tion drive in as­so­ci­a­tion with Kuwait Blood Bank on 6th Novem­ber, 2016 at Lulu Hy­per­mar­ket, Da­jeej, Kuwait.

The main ob­jec­tive of this ini­tia­tive is to raise aware­ness among the res­i­dents in Kuwait about the im­por­tance of blood do­na­tion and to en­cour­age max­i­mum peo­ple to do­nate blood, with the sup­port of Kuwait Blood Bank.

Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds en­cour­aged their staff to be a part of this humanitarian ef­fort for the well­be­ing of the com­mu­nity. The pro­gram drew very good re­sponse from the pub­lic and 50 donors, in­clud­ing 15 staff from Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds par­tic­i­pated in the blood do­na­tion drive to sup­port this cause.

Com­ment­ing on this lat­est ini­tia­tive, Af­sal Khan, Zonal Head, Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds - Kuwait said, “We strive for the bet­ter­ment of lives of the peo­ple in the ar­eas of our op­er­a­tion. We are proud to be a part of this ini­tia­tive and with the sup­port of like­minded or­ga­ni­za­tions like Kuwait Blood Bank, we would like to re­mind the res­i­dents of the coun­try the role in­di­vid­u­als can play in sav­ing and im­prov­ing hu­man lives”. Eid Ab­dul Nabi Al Ind­hal, Head of Health De­part­ment, Salmiya along with Dr Ahmed Ab­dul Gaf­far from Kuwait Cen­tral Blood bank who was present for the blood do­na­tion drive con­grat­u­lated Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds for this ini­tia­tive to raise the aware­ness among the pub­lic.

The CSR team of Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds or­ga­nizes blood do­na­tion drive pe­ri­od­i­cally in dif­fer­ent parts of Mid­dle East and Far East with sup­port of au­tho­rized blood banks as a part of its on­go­ing CSR ac­tiv­i­ties. They as­so­ciate with like-minded or­ga­ni­za­tions and un­der­take sev­eral wel­fare ac­tiv­i­ties in dif­fer­ent parts of the world for the poor and down­trod­den sec­tion of the so­ci­ety.

The group sup­ports many phil­an­thropic ac­tiv­i­ties and is al­ways ready to take ini­tia­tives to help the de­prived sec­tion in the so­ci­ety. The key fo­cus ar­eas of the CSR ini­tia­tives of Mal­abar Group are in the ar­eas of Health, Ed­u­ca­tion, Women Em­pow­er­ment, Hous­ing and En­vi­ron­ment. The group, which cur­rently has show­rooms across GCC, In­dia, Malaysia and Sin­ga­pore un­der­takes sev­eral wel­fare ac­tiv­i­ties with the as­so­ci­a­tion of like-minded or­ga­ni­za­tions in the re­spec­tive re­gions. The or­ga­ni­za­tion en­sures that a fixed per­cent­age of its net profit is used for CSR ac­tiv­i­ties ev­ery year and the char­ity projects of Mal­abar Gold and Di­a­monds have touched the lives of thou­sands of peo­ple.
