The Promenade Celebrates 6th Run Q8 Success

The Promenade, Kuwait's neighborho­od mall, has celebrated the success of the recently concluded Run Q8, a charitable initiative that supports the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilita­tion Unit, under Fawzia Sultan Rehabilita­tion Institute, a non-profit organizati­on.

The sixth annual 10km and 5km runs, which attracted more than 2,000 runners, saw The Promenade supporting as a Platinum Sponsor. In the run up to the event, The Promenade served as the collection point for bib numbers and t-shirts, and actively encouraged staff, friends, family and the wider community to sign up for the run. Various stores across the mall also provided gifts that were awarded to winners of the races.

"We are committed to initiative­s such as the recent Run Q8, which not only supports the wider community, but go further in offering much needed care to those who require it. The Promenade is a charity mall and alongside our own internal activities, we are a keen ambassador to raise awareness of worthy causes," Alyah Al-Jasser, Al Othman Portfolio Marketing Manager said.

Owned by the Abdulla Abdullatif Al Othman Charity Fund which provides funds for buildings moques, schools, as well as helping the orphans and families in need, the Promenade is also home of the Promenade Culture Centre, the cultural arm of the mall. It is a multi-purpose developmen­t, created to act as a canvas for artistic expression in Kuwait. Its mission is to actively encourage and host a variety of artistic and cultural activities for the community.
