Kuwait Air­ways plane has mi­nor ac­ci­dent in Mum­bai

A Kuwait Air­ways pas­sen­ger plane was in­volved in a mi­nor ac­ci­dent at Mum­bai air­port, the com­pany said in a state­ment yes­ter­day. It said the wingtip of an A320 air­craft scratched Kuwait Air­ways’ A330 air­craft’s left out­board flap after land­ing at the air­port. Kuwait Air­ways flight KU301 had left Kuwait In­ter­na­tional Air­port ear­lier yes­ter­day, and the plane was parked at Mum­bai’s Ch­ha­trapti Shivaji In­ter­na­tional Air­port when the con­tact be­tween the wings took place. The other plane was mov­ing.

Slight dam­age was caused to the wing of the Kuwaiti Air­ways plane. Ac­cord­ing to the state­ment, In­dian au­thor­i­ties have opened an in­ves­ti­ga­tion in the ac­ci­dent. It added that the pas­sen­gers were safely dis­em­barked, and an al­ter­na­tive plane was pro­vided for the Mum­bai-Kuwait re­turn flight.
