Vanithavedi Kuwait holds ‘Noop­u­ram-2016’

The cul­tural fes­ti­val ‘Noop­u­ram-2016’ or­ga­nized by Vanithavedi-Kuwait at In­dian Com­mu­nity School (Se­nior) au­di­to­rium con­cluded with a color­ful dance dis­play. Well-known clas­si­cal dancers Srikanth ac­com­pa­nied by Aswathy Srikanth nar­rated the pow­er­ful forces of na­ture and their im­pact upon hu­man emo­tions, through their dance bo­nanza “At­mata”, en­thralling the au­di­ence.

The pro­gram started with a color­ful cul­tural pro­ces­sion por­tray­ing sev­eral tra­di­tional art forms ac­com­pa­nied by chen­dame­lam by Vanithavedi team. In­dian Em­bassy Sec­ond Sec­re­tary AK Sri­vas­tava for­mally in­au­gu­rated Noop­u­ram fol­lowed by prin­ci­pal’s ad­dress from Aswathy Srikanth. She ob­served that a per­fect artist should be a vir­tu­ous per­son and only with bal­anced mind, an artist can per­form with ex­cel­lence. An­jana Saji pre­sented “Ker­ala For­ma­tion day” mes­sage. By re­ceiv­ing the first copy from Nasser Al-Hameed Mo­ham­mad Ka­mal, Di­rec­tor, Kuwait TV, John Mathew re­leased the Noop­u­ram 2016 souvenir, edited by Bin­dul Sa­jeev. Na­ganad­han, Pres­i­dent, KALA Kuwait, Sam Panum­moodu , Ad­vi­sor Vanithavedi and Devi Na­dini - Balavedi de­liv­ered fe­lic­i­ta­tion speeches. San­tha R Nair, Pres­i­dent Vanithavedi Kuwait presided over the func­tion while Tolly Prakash, Gen­eral Sec­re­tary wel­comed the au­di­ence. Pro­gram Con­vener Shya­mala Narayanan ren­dered a vote of thanks.

NAFO team re­ceived first prize in Thiru­vathira com­pe­ti­tions con­ducted as the part of Noop­u­ram 2016 with Sa­man­vayam team while Man­gaf stood sec­ond and Pal­pak team in third po­si­tion. They re­ceived cash prices” and Vanithavedi tro­phies. Bindu Dileep and Rema Ajith ad­min­is­tered Thiru­vathira com­pe­ti­tions. Dis­play of sev­eral art forms, skits and dance forms kept the day-long pro­gram buoy­ant.
