A fight broke out between two female citizens in Fintas over parking, prompting their husbands to intervene and separate them. The men then argued and exchanged blows. Neighbors called police, who took them to the police station for questionin­g.

Reckless driving

Another fight between two citizens in Ahmadi was broken up by police. The fight started when a man was driving recklessly in front of the other’s house and damaged the windows of his car with flying gravel. Both men were taken to the police station and charged with fighting. The reckless driver was issued several tickets for his actions and his car was impounded.

Camp theft

Two thieves stole the contents of a camp including a generator and electronic­s in Abdaly desert, according to the complaint of the camp owner at Jahra police station. He said the two threatened the Asian guard. Police are investigat­ing.

Attempted kidnap

A female citizen told police that while on the way to join her family in a camp, a man drove next to her and yelled “join us”, but she ignored him. He then attempted to force her to stop, but she turned around to avoid him. He still followed her, so she drove to the police station, prompting him to flee. The woman gave police the suspect’s license plate number.

Drug possession

Farwaniya police noticed a taxi driver obstructin­g traffic in Ardhiya, so he was stopped. An Egyptian passenger who was with him escaped, while the Bangladesh­i driver was seen throwing out an envelope suspected of containing drugs. He claimed that a man gave it to him to deliver it to the Egyptian. He was sent to the Drugs Control General Department. —Al-Rai
