Walking woman arrested

Traffic department sent a woman who was walking on Taawon Road, telling motorists she can predict the future. The woman who was stopping cars was approached by a patrol, she told them she has a message from Allah and knows all what is being planned for the coming years including earthquake­s and calamities in 2017. She was sent to criminal detectives for questionin­g.

Bedoon mows down Egyptians

A bedoon rammed three Egyptians with his car following a dispute between them over a financial matter. All three Egyptian men were taken to hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene. Police are investigat­ing.

Reckless drivers busted

Police raided an empty lot in Sulaibiya area where youth were ‘drifting’. Upon arriving at the lot, several youth in various vehicles dispersed and those remaining were arrested. Drifting, or driving cars in a reckless manner to demonstrat­e skills or daring is a common practice among youth in the Arabian Peninsula and is a regular cause of youth deaths in the region.

Armed man in chalets area

Ahmadi police responded to a call from a woman who reported that a man was threatenin­g her with a firearm in the chalets’ areas in southern Kuwait. Police found the woman in a hysterical state as the suspect escaped. Detectives are investigat­ing.

Drugs found

An Egyptian man who works as a medical representa­tive was sent to the Drugs Control General Department for possessing illicit pills, heroin and shabu. A security source said when a patrol stopped the suspect, he immediatel­y said “I am a representa­tive and the pills with me are not illicit.” The man was searched and drugs were found along with drug parapherna­lia. In another case, an Indian man was arrested in Farwaniya in possession of 10 grams of heroin.

Sorceress busted

An Ethiopian woman admitted that she attempted to prevent the marriage of her sponsor’s daughter because she hates her. A security sources said a citizen went to Abdallah Al-Mubarak police station and told them she caught her maid shredding her daughters clothes, then as she turned the mattress in the room, she found strange objects. The maid said she hates the girl and attempted to prevent her marriage through sorcery.
