Walk­ing woman ar­rested

Traf­fic depart­ment sent a woman who was walk­ing on Taa­won Road, telling mo­torists she can pre­dict the fu­ture. The woman who was stop­ping cars was ap­proached by a pa­trol, she told them she has a mes­sage from Al­lah and knows all what is be­ing planned for the com­ing years in­clud­ing earth­quakes and calami­ties in 2017. She was sent to crim­i­nal de­tec­tives for ques­tion­ing.

Be­doon mows down Egyp­tians

A be­doon rammed three Egyp­tians with his car fol­low­ing a dis­pute be­tween them over a fi­nan­cial mat­ter. All three Egyp­tian men were taken to hospi­tal for treat­ment. The sus­pect fled the scene. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Reckless driv­ers busted

Po­lice raided an empty lot in Su­laibiya area where youth were ‘drift­ing’. Upon ar­riv­ing at the lot, sev­eral youth in var­i­ous ve­hi­cles dis­persed and those re­main­ing were ar­rested. Drift­ing, or driv­ing cars in a reckless man­ner to demon­strate skills or dar­ing is a com­mon prac­tice among youth in the Ara­bian Penin­sula and is a reg­u­lar cause of youth deaths in the re­gion.

Armed man in chalets area

Ah­madi po­lice re­sponded to a call from a woman who re­ported that a man was threat­en­ing her with a firearm in the chalets’ ar­eas in south­ern Kuwait. Po­lice found the woman in a hys­ter­i­cal state as the sus­pect es­caped. De­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Drugs found

An Egyp­tian man who works as a med­i­cal rep­re­sen­ta­tive was sent to the Drugs Con­trol Gen­eral Depart­ment for pos­sess­ing il­licit pills, heroin and shabu. A se­cu­rity source said when a pa­trol stopped the sus­pect, he im­me­di­ately said “I am a rep­re­sen­ta­tive and the pills with me are not il­licit.” The man was searched and drugs were found along with drug para­pher­na­lia. In an­other case, an In­dian man was ar­rested in Far­waniya in pos­ses­sion of 10 grams of heroin.

Sorcer­ess busted

An Ethiopian woman ad­mit­ted that she at­tempted to pre­vent the mar­riage of her spon­sor’s daughter be­cause she hates her. A se­cu­rity sources said a ci­ti­zen went to Ab­dal­lah Al-Mubarak po­lice sta­tion and told them she caught her maid shred­ding her daugh­ters clothes, then as she turned the mat­tress in the room, she found strange ob­jects. The maid said she hates the girl and at­tempted to pre­vent her mar­riage through sor­cery.
