Microsoft today praised small businesses across Kuwait on their adoption of cloud services to further the nation’s ongoing digital transformation. The company leveraged the admirable progress made nationwide in the adoption of global best practices, with solutions providers such as Future Communications Company having received certified recognition by Microsoft for their ongoing efforts as Cloud Solution Provider and Gold Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) partner.

“Thriving SME sectors across the GCC have played major roles in growing nonoil GDPs and are making impressive inroads in supporting knowledge-based economies,” said Charles Nahas, General Manager, Microsoft Kuwait. “As Kuwait’s SME are acquiring the muscle to be competitive, Cloud services are the perfect way for them to cast off the shackles of scale and operate like global players.

Nahas spoke of the “maturity and readiness” of the Kuwaiti cloud services market, as national providers adopt international best-practice standards. Earlier this year, Microsoft certified Kuwait-based Future Communications Company (FCC) as Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider and Gold ERP Partner. FCC can now offer end-to-end cloud solutions to manage business processes in public, private and hybrid clouds, or on premises.

“FCC takes this Microsoft certification as validation of the skill and commitment of our people when serving customers across Kuwait,” said Salah Al Awady, founder and CEO, FCC. “Small businesses in particular have so much to gain from migrating their digital infrastructure to the cloud. Business efficiency and competitive advantage invariably follow such transformations and we look forward, in our role as Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider and Gold Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Partner, to continue to tell that story to customers. Our competency certification has resulted from our approach to cloud solutions - to make growth easy; to make it flexible; and to make it cost effective, for all our customers.”

“For organizations throughout the region, cloud is becoming a formidable tool allowing companies to focus on their core business while increasing resource optimization and speed to market” Nahas added. “Microsoft has invested heavily in the infrastructure and talent needed to support our customer Digital Transformation journey. We are delighted to move forward with leading partners like FCC, and offer SMEs across Kuwait the best in cloud solutions, to make their businesses the very best they can be. We are excited about our future relationship with FCC and the prospect of joining forces to help individuals and organizations across the nation achieve more and ease the transition to New IT for all Kuwaiti companies. As users embrace the benefits cloud can bring, Microsoft and our solutions partners are ready to offer those services and add more value to our customers’ businesses. This is the time of cloud.”

FCC’s specialists in managed cloud hosting talk customers through the adoption, deployment and optimization of the latest technologies. Driven by the business goals of the customer and in close consultation with all stakeholders at each stage of a project, FCC implements international best-practice standards to reduce project risk and achieve a quicker return-on-investment.

Microsoft’s Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions competency recognizes partners that offer Microsoft Office 365 cloud and hybrid solutions to SME customers.

KuwaitKuwait, according to BMI research, is set for a compound annual growth (CAGR) of 1.4% to reach a national IT spend of US$ 1.11 billion by 2020, with US$ 407 million going to the service segment.
