Zain re­ceives four ti­tles as part of Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Award 2016

Zain, the lead­ing telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions com­pany in Kuwait, proudly re­ceived four ti­tles as part of the Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Award 2016. The award, or­ga­nized by the Arab Me­dia Fo­rum, came for the fourth year un­der the pa­tron­age of HE Sheikh Salman Al Ho­moud Al Sabah Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion and Min­is­ter of State for Youth Af­fairs and the at­ten­dance of the Min­is­ter’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive, the In­for­ma­tion Min­istry’s Un­der­sec­re­tary Tareq Al Mizrim.

Zain Kuwait’s Cor­po­rate Com­mu­ni­ca­tions and Re­la­tions Di­rec­tor Waleed Al Khashti and Mar­ket­ing Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Man­ager Na­jla Al Eisa re­ceived the awards dur­ing the cer­e­mony, where Zain was awarded with four ti­tles in­clud­ing “Zain’s National Day TVC 2016 - Ya Bi­lady”, “Zain’s Ra­madan TVC 2016 - Live in Peace”, “Zain’s Eid TVC 2016 - Let’s Sing”.

In the National Cam­paigns cat­e­gory, Zain won for its National Day TVC 2016 - Ya Bi­lady, which was re­leased in line with Kuwait’s National Day cel­e­bra­tions in Fe­bru­ary, and was ded­i­cated to the peo­ple of Kuwait and to HH the Amir on the oc­ca­sion of his 10-year as­cen­dency to power, and re­ceived over­whelm­ing feed­back as soon as it was first re­leased on Jan­uary 29th.

The National Day Pro­duc­tion en­ti­tled ‘Ya Bi­lady’ - trans­lates to ‘My Coun­try’ - reached nearly 4 mil­lion views on Zain’s of­fi­cial YouTube chan­nel, and was pre­pared through­out a pe­riod of three months, and wit­nessed the par­tic­i­pa­tion of 150 Kuwaiti chil­dren from var­i­ous pub­lic and pri­vate schools. The chil­dren were trained for many weeks be­fore shoot­ing, and were in­volved in sev­eral train­ing ses­sions.

The shoot­ing of the pro­duc­tion took place in var­i­ous lo­ca­tions in Kuwait, in­clud­ing the Sha­heed Park and the Mubarikya Tra­di­tional Souk. These lo­ca­tions were specif­i­cally hand­picked to re­flect the TVC’s na­tion­al­is­tic spirit and pro­vide a pa­tri­otic scene. Zain in­tro­duced this pro­duc­tion in two ver­sions, the first as a reg­u­lar mu­si­cal video, and the sec­ond for the first time in Kuwait, the com­pany uti­lized a video us­ing the 360 cam­era tech­nol­ogy, which al­lowed view­ers to en­joy vir­tual ma­neu­ver­ing while watch­ing the video, as if the viewer is ac­tu­ally liv­ing the mo­ment.

In the Ra­madan Com­mer­cials cat­e­gory, Zain won the award for its Ra­madan TVC 2016 - Live in Peace, which aimed at spread­ing a univer­sal mes­sage of peace, and reached over 11 mil­lion views on YouTube. The com­mer­cial’s mes­sage of peace is at the heart of the con­cept, and is a mes­sage that res­onated with ev­ery­one. The main hero in the com­mer­cial was the renowned Moroc­can artist Saad Lam­jarred, who hap­pened to be the high­est viewed artist in the Arab world. The TVC also fea­tured In­dian child su­per­star, Har­shaali Mal­ho­tra, who has gained mas­sive pop­u­lar­ity af­ter co-star­ing in a fa­mous In­dian film, also about peace.

Zain was also awarded for its Eid Al Fi­tir TVC 2016 - Let’s Sing, which reached nearly 18 mil­lion views on YouTube, and also aimed at spread­ing the mes­sages of peace and love. The com­pany was also awarded with the So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity Cre­ativ­ity Award, which rec­og­nized Zain’s var­i­ous so­cial and hu­man­i­tar­ian cam­paigns launched through­out the year 2016 in line with the com­pany’s Cor­po­rate Sus­tain­ably and So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity strat­egy.

It is worth not­ing that Zain par­tic­i­pated in a Pub­lic Re­la­tions and Mar­ket­ing dis­cus­sion panel that came as part of the Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Award 2016 or­ga­nized by the Arab Me­dia Fo­rum. The event, held in Al Raya ball­room, fea­tured a num­ber of prom­i­nent ex­perts, aca­demics, and spe­cial­ists in the fields of pub­lic re­la­tions, mar­ket­ing, and ad­ver­tis­ing. This award­ing comes in light of Zain’s distin­guished ad­ver­tis­ing and me­dia in­volve­ment, and it fur­ther show­cases the com­pany’s role as a lead­ing pri­vate sec­tor com­pany launch­ing sev­eral mar­ket­ing and ad­ver­tis­ing cam­paigns all year round.

Zain will con­tinue sup­port­ing this very im­por­tant field which car­ries sig­nif­i­cant and in­for­ma­tive mes­sag­ing to the pub­lic at large and the com­mu­ni­ca­tions world as a whole, whether through tra­di­tional or mod­ern me­dia tools. The Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Award 2016 was or­ga­nized for the fourth year by the Arab Me­dia Fo­rum, which has proven it­self to be one of the re­gion’s most prom­i­nent events that at­tend to Arab Me­dia. The event brought to­gether many min­is­ters, me­dia ex­ec­u­tives, jour­nal­ists, aca­demics, au­thors, ac­tors, busi­ness­men, and so­cial fig­ures from all around the Arab world.
