NBK launches ‘NBK Tap & Pay’

In­no­va­tive ser­vice will save cus­tomers’ time and ef­fort

KUWAIT: Aim­ing to up­grade its suite of bank­ing ser­vices that meet cus­tomers’ de­mands and ex­pec­ta­tions, NBK launched its new NBK “Tap & Pay” Ser­vice that will save cus­tomer’s time and ef­forts when mak­ing pay­ments on NBK Tap & Pay en­abled POS ter­mi­nals.

Us­ing con­tact­less tech­nol­ogy, the in­no­va­tive ser­vice en­ables cus­tomers us­ing NBK Tap & Pay Cards by sim­ply tap­ping the card on the POS ma­chine with­out en­ter­ing the PIN or sign­ing the re­ceipt for pay­ments up to KD 10. As for the pay­ments from KD 10.001 to KD 100, the cus­tomer can use NBK Tap & Pay by en­ter­ing the PIN and sign­ing the re­ceipt. NBK Tap & Pay is truly a way of mak­ing ev­ery day pay­ments quicker and eas­ier.

This brand new ser­vice trans­lates NBK’s drive to in­tro­duce the best-in-class bank­ing prod­ucts and ser­vices that match the high­est in­dus­try stan­dards and use the lat­est cut­ting-edge tech­nol­ogy for the ul­ti­mate bank­ing ex­pe­ri­ence.

Suresh Ba­j­pai, NBK’s Gen­eral Man­ager-Con­sumer Bank­ing Group, said that NBK Tap & Pay is con­sid­ered to be the lat­est in bank­ing cards’ tech­nol­ogy that pro­vides the high­est se­cu­rity and pri­vacy lay­ers, while sav­ing cus­tomers’ time and ef­fort. He af­firmed that NBK aims to al­ways fa­cil­i­tate cus­tomers’ trans­ac­tions and pro­vide them with an out­stand­ing bank­ing ex­pe­ri­ence at all times.

NBK Tap & Pay makes pay­ments eas­ier and quicker for both in­di­vid­ual cus­tomers and Busi­ness Bank­ing cus­tomers. . It’s worth not­ing that NBK strives to in­tro­duce a wide range of bank­ing so­lu­tions and prod­ucts that sat­isfy cus­tomers’ needs and match their life­style. As a re­sult, NBK’s on­go­ing of­fer­ings play an in­te­gral role in at­taint­ing its lead­er­ship po­si­tion in the bank­ing in­dus­try lo­cally and abroad.

By launch­ing the new NBK Tap & Pay, a new ser­vice has been added to the wide range of bank­ing prod­ucts that meet the high­est se­cu­rity stan­dards, in­clud­ing the NBK Mobile Bank­ing and NBK On­line Bank­ing that al­low cus­tomers to bank any­where at any time, in ad­di­tion to the SMS Bank­ing through which cus­tomers are no­ti­fied of any changes on their ac­count or card bal­ance, the What­sApp ser­vice that was launched re­cently, the ATMs and CDMs and more. Func­tion­al­i­ties are also added on an on­go­ing ba­sis on ex­ist­ing prod­ucts and ser­vices to fur­ther en­hance cus­tomer ex­pe­ri­ence in deal­ing with NBK reaf­firm­ing NBK’s com­mit­ment to their cus­tomers. NBK re­cently also launched its ITM (In­ter­ac­tive Teller Ma­chine) which en­ables cus­tomers through a video to do bank­ing trans­ac­tions, re­motely with­out vis­it­ing the branch. This ser­vice is avail­able in the Av­enues Mall from 10 am to 10 pm 7 days a week.
