KIB appoints Ahmad AlKazemi as GM of Commercial Banking
KUWAIT: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced that it has appointed Ahmad Abdulrazzaq AlKazemi as General Manager of the Commercial Banking Department. In his role, AlKazemi will be leading both the commercial banking and international banking functions; developing and implementing a strategy for both divisions in line with the Bank’s overall business plan.
In its statement, KIB praised AlKazemi’s vast banking sector experience and his strong industry acumen, particularly in the field of corporate banking. AlKazemi spent his banking career at Gulf Bank, progressing through different positions and levels of management over the course of more than 30 years with the Bank. His last position with the Bank was as Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking, in addition to serving as Acting General Manager of the department. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Kansas in the United States. AlKazemi is joining a management team of highly qualified and experienced senior banking professionals at KIB. This newest appointment comes in line with KIB’s strategy which focuses on attracting the highest caliber of local talents, enabling the Bank to achieve its objectives by enhancing its performance and elevating its position within the banking sector.
The Commercial Banking Department at KIB provides financing facilities to corporate clients by offering a comprehensive package of Sharia compliant banking solutions. On the other hand, the International Banking Department is mandated with building and maintaining the Bank’s international relationships, in addition to promoting international finance and correspondent banking services.
