No LNG imports
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Monday denied press reports that it was negotiating with a neighboring country to import natural gas. The press reports issued in neighboring countries that Kuwait was negotiating with one of those nations to import natural are not correct, KPC said in a statement. Kuwait, it added, has been importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) from international market and global companies with good prices since 2009. Kuwait’s importation of LNG aimed at honoring demands of domestic market, said KPC. KPC said it would spare no effort to meet LNG demands, either through increasing local gas production or importing from international market. — KUNA
