With the participation of more than 1,500 students
KUWAIT: Ooredoo, the fastest network in Kuwait in 2016, participated in the Open Health Day organized by the Ministry of Health’s Public Relations Department last week. The marathon, which took place along the Arabian Gulf Road, witnessed the attendance of more than 1500 students from different schools from across Kuwait, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and other government entities.
Ooredoo Kuwait stated that participating in such an event is in tandem with the company’s deep-rooted belief and commitment to its core values of caring, connecting and challenging. The company also lauded the joint efforts and cooperation between entities from both public and private sector to make this event a success. Supporting this initiative is also reflective of Ooredoo’s commitment to the UN Global Goals endorsed by Ooredoo, which include good health and well-being.
Ooredoo furthermore continues to exert efforts to support government entities in raising awareness about a variety of health issues and ways to adopt a healthier lifestyle. This comes in alignment with Ooredoo’s commitment to the Global Goals project of the United Nations, which was adopted by Ooredoo in 2015, and focuses on health and well-being as one of its main points.
Aside from the marathon, the event included a number of competitions and games for participants of all ages, in addition to health exhibits held and organized by different private clinics and pharmaceutical companies. Medical staff were available to conduct tests for all attendees to measure their blood sugar, pressure, cholesterol, body mass index, and to provide various medical consultations. Ooredoo Kuwait is committed to supporting different segments of society through its sponsorships around the year.
