AL-Manfohi to confront food irregularities firmly

Eng. Ahmad AL-Manfohi, The Director of the municipality assured that the municipality is very assiduous toward the health and safety of the citizens. This is by intensified the inspections on the food shops, restaurants, groceries, malls, stores, and selling/trading food centers by inspectors. The inspection is by group of inspectors and emergency group by six governorates on all fields. AL-Manfohi added also to intensify the inspection more on the selling/trading food centers, by the competent departments and the need for vigilance of its inspectors to monitor violations and to take action, due to the intense inspection campaign on all food shop, restaurants, groceries, malls, stores, and selling/trading food centers.
AL-Manfohi revealed from the press statement that the continuing inspection vicinity on the stores for different activities carried out by different departments and supervision on all levels from municipality branch, with emergency team from the six governorates, during the two periods morning and evening; to the sure the health and safety of all citizens and all who lives on this kind land is the first priority. The municipality will not tolerate poor souls from the spoiled food traders for their promotion of a spoiled food that could affect the users of that food. Eng. Inspection campaigns by surprise on the food stores in AL-Rai and AL-Shuwaikh till the third day continuation, which resulted with confiscation and destruction 34.5 tons from spoiled food, 12596 mineral water bottle, 8 stores and groceries and 68 violations also insured that the inspection on shops are continuing all the times. Ammar also added that the surveillance team of the AL-Asimah municipality has a huge attention on inspection on the stores, shops, restaurants, selling/trading food centers to assure toward the health and safety of the citizens, according to the rules and regulations of the municipality established by the municipality in this particular. Tariq AL-Qattan stated that his team was continuing for three days straight on inspections in Shuwaikh, which has started within today at 6 in the morning and ended at 6 in the evening. Which resulted with confiscation and destruction of a spoiled food including Legumes “lentils crushed, and a spoiled chicken and shrimps. 3 Violations because of storing spoiled food.
AL-Qattan clarified that from the start of the campaign for inspection they confiscation and destruction 14.5 of spoiled food and the result of the inspection of total days was: first day 4 ton, second day 9 ton, and the third day 1.5 ton; Also confiscation and destruction of 12596 mineral water bottle expired from it 8200 small mineral water bottle 330ml and 3496 large mineral water bottle 1.5L, closing 5 stores with 10 random violations. Eng. Abdullah Jaber that the inspection in continuing and the team B to raid stores in Shuwaikh, which resulted with confiscation and destruction 16 ton of spoiled food apart of it 2000 bucket of olives 8 kg and 20 violations from it 8 spoiled food and 12 advertisement violations. And shift B with C they resulted with confiscation and destruction 4 ton from them 900 kg illegal food and closing 3 stores, groceries; and 58 violation from them 16 food irregularities.
