AOU honors Kuwait’s branch
The Arab Open University (AOU) represented by its headquarters and eight branches operating in a number of Arab countries congratulated the Kuwait AOU branch represented by Dr Naif Al-Mutiri, Branch Director, on winning of the branch in the competition of maintaining the efficiency of the AOU buildings for the academic year 2015-2016. The competition between the five completed branches buildings was organized by the Advisory Committee of the AOU buildings.
This came in an honoring ceremony organized by the AOU on the sidelines of the 26th meeting of the AOU Board of Trustees in presence of Prince Turki bin Talal, Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the AOU buildings, Professor Ali Fakiro, Deputy Chairman of the Chairman of the AOU Executive Committee, Professor Moudi Al-Humoud, President of the AOU, Professor Mohammad Hamdan, Advisor of the AOU and Chairman of the Competition Committee, and a number of members of the AOU Board of Trustees, Vice Presidents of the AOU, Deans, and Academic Coordinators of the AOU Kuwait Branch.
The ceremony witnessed a number of speeches commending the efforts of the Kuwait branch management for winning in the competition, lauding all branches’ efforts in the AOU’s achievement, and wishing success to all. At the end of the ceremony, Prince Turki bin Talal and Professor Moudi AlHumoud presented an honoring Shield to Dr Naif Al-Mutiri as the AOU Kuwait branch won in the competition. The Headquarters of the AOU recently hosted the 26th meeting of the AOU Board of Trustees. The meeting addressed the approval of the previous meeting minutes, follow-up of the implementation of decisions, discussion of a number of academic, administrative, and financial reports and a number of regulations and suggestions.
It is worth mentioning that the Kuwait AOU branch celebrated graduation of a new class in presence of Prince Turki bin Talal, Representative of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the AOU Board of Trustees. The ceremony was also attended by Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Faisal Al-Humoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah, Dr Habeb Abel, General Secretary of the Private Universities Council, AOU Vice Presidents and a number of Shiekhs, ambassadors, and foreign diplomats in Kuwait.
