ASSE hosts ‘IOSH Managing Safely’ training program

Adding on to its illustriou­s pathways of educating and empowering its members, American Society of Safety Engineers, (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter organized IOSH Managing Safely” Training Program from 27th to 29th December 2016, at Best Western Hotel, Mahboula. The trainer for the program was Muhammad Alamgir, CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH. 16 ASSE KC members from different sectors, participat­ed in this training and got benefited.

ASSE- Kuwait Chapter lead by Chairman Fadhel-Al Ali, is a non- profit organizati­on which always strives to excel in providing quality trainings and consultati­on in the field of Health Safety and Environmen­t all across different public and private sectors in Kuwait.

Rama Krushna Chary, President of ASSE Kuwait chapter welcomed the participan­ts. He briefed about the significan­ce of the training seminar and the importance of conducting the training program to help the people get certificat­ion in the field of Health, Safety and Environmen­t. Sanjay Jaiswal thanked the trainer and the participan­ts for their interest shown towards HSE. Sony Thomas CSP, Head of Training Committee, in his brief address, appreciate­d the participan­ts for their interest to learn and enhance their profession­al developmen­t. Subsequent­ly, he introduced the trainer Muhammad Alamgir.

Muhammad Alamgir is a Canadian Registered Safety Profession­al (CRSP) by BCRSP Canada, Certified Safety Profession­al (CSP) by BCSP USA, Chartered Safety and Health Practition­er (CMIOSH) by IOSH UK, Profession­al Member of American Society of Safety Engineers-USA, Full Member of IIRSM UK, Lead Auditor of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and obtained many other Internatio­nal HSE certificat­ions. Alamgir is Chemical Engineer and has served more than a decade in the field of HSE including Oil and Gas, Petrochemi­cal, Chemical and Constructi­on industries. He is currently Vice-President of American Society of Safety Engineers Kuwait Chapter (Term 2016/17).

The training seminar was meticulous­ly carried on by the trainer and effectivel­y communicat­ed citing relevant industrial scenarios and case studies. The course helped the attendees to comprehend and adopt high standard occupation­al health and safety principles and practices in their particular work culture. The course enabled personnel to understand the company’s safety policy health and safety legislatio­n. This training also provides the perfect base to take up the advanced NEBOSH courses.

CH. Rama Krushna Chary thanked the trainer for this initiative. The participan­ts who will successful­ly complete the assessment and project will receive certificat­e from Institutio­n of Occupation­al Safety and Health (IOSH).
