UFIG, UMS join Horeca; event kicks off today
KUWAIT: Under auspices of Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman AlHumoud Al-Sabah, the Horeca Kuwait 2017 exhibition kicks off today with participation of over 80 companies specialized in hospitality, catering and hotel equipment. The three-day event is organized by Leaders Group Company for Consulting and Development in collaboration with the Hospitality Services Company at Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref.
In this regard, the United Food Industries Group (UFIG) and the United Medical Services Compay (UMS) announced their participation in the exhibition. Speaking about the exhibition, UFIG’s Marketing Manager Abdul Wahab Abdullah Al-Johairi stressed that Horeca had proved its significance in supporting hospitality projects over the past few years, especially since Kuwait is witnessing an upsurge in construction and expansion projects. “This is our first participation,” he noted, pointing out that Horeca had become a major platform to stay up to date with the latest in the business.
Johairi added that UFIG has over 25 years of experience, adding that it supplies products of brands such as Sable, Roche, Al-Deek Al-Roumi Restaurant, Planet Donuts and Abu Zaid Konafa. “We also have branches in UAE and Qatar and plan to open a new one in Saudi Arabia soon,” he explained.
In the meantime, UMS’s General Manager Mo’ezz Ali Sadeq stressed that Horeca is very effective in promoting various projects, adding that this was the reason why UMS decided taking part. Sadeq added that UMS provides products that are supplementary to food services such as aluminum containers, plastic utensils and paper products used in serving, storing and transporting food.
