Mercedes-Benz new SUV range: Available in Kuwait
Living up to its reputation of delivering off-road dominance and extraordinary on-road excellence, AR Albisher and Z. Alkazemi Company, the authorized general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Kuwait has started the New Year strong, announcing the availability of Mercedes-Benz’s complete SUV range in their Shuwaikh showroom. With seven models and nearly 20 model variants, the SUV family’s GClass, GLA, GLE, GLC and GLS, each offer something different, suiting every need and preference whether for the adventure seeker, off road explorer or growing family.

As is typical of the G-Class, the new models retain the familiar sturdy basis of body and ladder-type frame, which still offers generous reserves to cope with the increased power. Also retained is the unrivalled off-road performance with permanent all-wheel drive, low-range gearbox and three differential locks that can be engaged/disengaged while on the move. With 571hp (420kW) from its AMG biturbo V8 and 760Nm of torque, the Mercedes-AMG G63 is a remarkable combination of exhilaration and efficiency, as is its G 65 AMG and G 500 counterparts which effortlessly master spontaneous changes of scenery. Also available in showrooms, concept car turned series production G 500 4x4≤ knows no boundaries.
With the world’s most powerful series-production 4-cylinder car engine, a high-performance braking system, a sports transmission, performance-oriented 4MATIC all-wheel drive, speed-sensitive sports steering and a sports suspension, the Mercedes Benz GLA reinterprets the compact SUV segment in convincing style. The agile crossover is available as GLA 250 4MATIC and GLA 45 AMG, the latter high performance SUV also shining with low emission and fuel consumption figures.
Innovative technologies
The Mercedes-Benz GLC sets new standards with its state-of-the-art systems, dynamic design and modern aesthetic, excelling under all operating conditions. The GLC 250 4MATIC and the GLC 300 4MATIC offer a 4-cylinder petrol engine with direct injection and turbocharging, while the V6 AMG 43 goes from 0-100km in 4.9 seconds. The GLC 300 4MATIC comes with the sporty AMG Line exterior - with distinctive AMG body styling, 19-inch AMG wheels, chrome package, and enhanced performance and driving dynamics. Making a bold statement with its sporty silhouette, the GLC 250 4MATIC CoupÈ fuses SUV capability, coupe agility and Mercedes-Benz style.
Innovative technologies include its all-wheel drive system 4MATIC, automatic transmission 9G-TRONIC and air suspension AIR BODY CONTROL. The DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL adjustable steel suspension is the highlight when it comes to driving dynamics - all features which enable an extremely individual set-up for thrilling sportiness or pleasant comfort.
Updated name, extended model range and even more power: the new Mercedes- GLE is an SUV prepared for any occasion. Thanks to the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system available as standard, the GLE delivers outstanding dynamics and precise handling, even in tough driving conditions. The advantages of the new GLE include best on-road and off-road handling, outstanding spaciousness and high levels of active and passive safety. The new GLE is available in four models including the GLE 400 4MATIC and the GLE 500 4MATIC. Providing added sportiness and dominance, the GLE 63 is also available with AMG power, with a 5.5-litre twinturbo V8 engine guaranteeing its driver an exclusive experience. Reaching from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, it offers sports car agility and spontaneous throttle response. In addition to the basic variant developing 410 kW (557 hp), there is also the highly sporty AMG GLE 63 SModel to choose from, which is rated at 430 kW (585 hp).
Also offering a sleek Copue variant, the AMG GLE 63 CoupÈ and AMG GLE 63 S CoupÈ both offer a powerful, hand-built AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine and a wealth of AMG-tuned enhancements that add unrivalled performance to its sleek coupÈ styling. Successor to the GL, the new GLS also sets standards in the world of SUVs as it confirms its position as the “S-Class among SUVs”. The only full-fledged seven-seater in the premium SUV segment boasts ample spaciousness and combines luxury with impressive levels of comfort, agile dynamics and best-inclass safety. With a peak output of 430 kW (585 hp), discrete suspension and the revised AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission, the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC represents the pinnacle of the GLS model series.
