Horeca Kuwait attracted over 6,000 visitors: Anjeri

Leaders Group’s General Manager Nabila Al-Anjeri stressed that the 2017 Horeca Kuwait 2017 which concluded yesterday achieved remarkable success and managed to attract over 6,000 visitors including experts, company owners, businessmen and a large number of ambassadors and diplomats.
Anjeri added that such success highlights the role that the public sector can play to activate commercial exchanges and boost the economy, which would eventually provide enough job opportunities, support the government’s development plan and help it set short and medium term strategies to diversify sources of national income. She added that sectors like tourism, hospitality, shipment and storage should be taken as top priorities when considering such strategies.
Speaking during a special ceremony held by the event’s organizing committee to honor participants in the international cooking competition, Anjeri also thanked the Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah for patronizing the exhibition. She also thanked all participants, sponsors and members of the cooking competition’s judging panel. Anjeri also thanked Hospitality Services Company; the main organizer of Horeca exhibitions around the Middle East, for cooperating with Leaders Group in organizing the 2017 Horeca Kuwait exhibition. She stressed the need to give extra attention to touristic development in order to make Kuwait an important Middle Eastern touristic destination.
Meanwhile, head of Horeca supreme organizing committee Mohammed Najia highlighted the event’s development since its inception in 2012, noting that the first exhibition was held over a total area of 1,500 square meters, whereas the most recent event was held over an area of 6,000 square meters. He also noted that participating companies increased from 30 on the maiden exhibition to over 80 in 2017. “Participants in the first cooking competition were 150, while over 300 took part this year,” he added. Further, Najia said that an agreement was made with sponsors to organize the Horeca event next year in the period of January 22-24, 2018.
