Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House celebrates grand opening

-

Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House was founded by an enterprising couple who started the business in 2004 after years of working in the food manufacturing and fast-food restaurant industry. The famous food chain had its origins in the Philippines' City of Smiles, Bacolod city back in the early 70s. It was an instant hit among the Negrenses (as people from the Negros province are called) and this spurned the iconic Bacolod Chicken Inasal of which it is popularly known now. The taste is a unique blend of spices punctuated by the sweet spicy aroma of the coconut vinegar where the meat has been tenderized after hours of marinating in it. Grilled to the right crispiness and juiciness over charcoal, the taste is as uniquely Filipino unlike any other typical chicken barbeque out there. Best eaten with bare hands and dipped in a combination of cane vinegar, soy sauce, lime fruit and chili peppers, chicken inasal is the perfect combination with garlic rice baste in annatto oil (chicken oil to many).

Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House is a Filipinos themed, middle price range casual dining restaurant chain that seeks to become a Filipino restaurant institution known not only for its authentic tasting chicken inasal and traditional Filipino dishes but also for its penchant of providing great food experience giving enjoyable and lasting memories to customers. The original recipes which was passed on for two generations now is still the original recipe and cooking process that has remained true to its origins and taste. Aside from the popular chicken inasal, Bacolod Chk n BBQ House serves other popular Ilonggo dishes such as La Paz Batchoy, Pancit Molo, Kansi and Kadyos Baboy Langka. Other equally popular Filipino dishes are the pork and chicken sisig, Kare Kare, Sinigang na Bangus, Pinakbet and Gising gising to name a few.

With a strong foothold in the local market with branches in the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao region, the brand has since expanded to the Middle East, with branches in UAE, Qatar, Muscut, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and now in Kuwait. The first outlet in Kuwait is located in Fahaheel, in al Haur complex, which is conveniently located within the heart of shopping area Fahaheel.

The Ambassador of Philippines Renato Pedro O Villa graced the occasion and cut the ribbon on Thursday 12th of January 2017, thereafter declaring the store open. While enjoying the food and distinct taste of the Bacolod style cuisine, Renato had all praise for the decor, the atmosphere and the set-up of the restaurant.
