Dr Ozairi stressed that obesity is considered as the gateway to many diseases such as type 2 diabetes and other conditions". Hence advised that "parents should encourage their children to adopt a more physically-active lifestyle as it contributes to one's wellness." She further advised to get exposed to the direct sunlight to synthesize vitamin D, and to cut down fatty and junk food.
