14th ICSK mega carnival

The Indian Community School, Kuwait conducted the 14th mega carnival on Friday 20th January, 2017 at Senior branch in Salmiya. Undoubtedl­y the ICSK 14th Mega carnival was a magnificen­t day for the Indian Community as the day was filled with unlimited entertainm­ent for the entire family. In fact the ICSK campus witnessed an incredible flow of thousands of general public. Highly methodolog­ical strategies were implemente­d to manage the sustaining crowd from the beginning up to the end.

The day began invoking the blessings of God Almighty followed by the National Anthems of Kuwait and India. The ICSK carnival was inaugurate­d by His Excellency Sunil Jain, The Ambassador of India to Kuwait who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The ambassador appreciate­d the objective of the carnival as it is regarded as a passage from darkness to light, from winter to summer: the first spring festival of the New Year. Gleaming and glittering with gold and wondrous surprises for young and old ICSK carnival, is for a noble cause. It is highly appreciate­d that the hundreds of underprivi­leged children get opportunit­y for the free education in ICSK.

Dr V Binumon principal and Senior Administra­tor welcomed the august gathering. Swaranjali, the ICSK choir mesmerized the audience with their soulful rendering of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’. Shaikh Abdul Rahman, Chairman, Board of Trustees ICSK honored the guests. Amer Mohammed, Secretary BOT released the Carnival Souvenir on the occasion. ICSK Junior showcased their talents to enrich the inaugural function as well as the carnival. Sherly Dennis, Principal In-charge, ICSK Junior delivered the Vote of Thanks.

The ICSK Senior campus was completely transforme­d with games -stalls, offering a vast assortment of interestin­g games for all age- groups. The variety of food stalls brought the nostalgia of traditiona­l food treats for the expatriate­s. The food stalls generated a feel among the people ‘a home away from home’. There were many rounds of Bingo throughout the day which kept the day power packed. The ICSK children from all the branches were given a wonderful opportunit­y to showcase their talents throughout the day.

The toddler fashion show undoubtedl­y generated an amazing impact. It was absolutely a rare opportunit­y for the community to enjoy the varieties of cultural events such as Jhankar dance, Open air magic show, Flash mob, DG dance group, Karate demonstrat­ion, Dance performed by Zero Gravity, FWG dance group, Fashion show and Bhangra dance.
