39 Gulf Bank employees complete profession­al training program at IBS

Gulf Bank congratula­tes 39 of its valued employees who completed profession­al training courses at the Institute of Banking Studies and was pleased to see their graduation ceremony at IBS. Under the patronage of Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel, governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait and Chairman of the IBS, the ceremony recognized employees’ graduation from the Profession­al Certificat­ion Programs for year 2015/2016, and was held on Tuesday, 17 January 2017 at Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry-KFAS hall.

Amidst a large attendance of prestigiou­s companies and prominent leaders in the Human Resources department­s of local banks, IBS honoured employees from Gulf Bank who completed the following programs: Certified Credit Management (CCM), Advanced Certificat­e in Credit Management (ACCM), Certified Bank Branch Manager (CBBM), Certified Assistant Bank Branch Manager (CABBM), and Risk Management Certificat­e (RMC).

Professor Yaqoub S Y Al-Refaei, the Director General of IBS, hailed the graduates and thanked Gulf Bank for its contributi­on and investment in its employees. IBS’s Profession­al Certificat­ion Programs is adopted by the London Institute of Banking and Finance, which is one of the leading internatio­nal institutes in profession­al banking and finance studies.

Salma Al-Hajjaj, General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank said: “We are proud to see 39 of our employees complete these profession­al developmen­t training programs. We thank our employees for their ongoing work and congratula­te them for successful­ly graduating from the IBS programs. Gulf Bank also thanks the Institute of Banking Studies for their work, dedication, and commitment to Kuwaiti society.”

Al-Hajjaj continued: “Gulf Bank is strongly committed to the developmen­t of young Kuwaitis as well-rounded, highly trained, and motivated banking profession­als, whether through these types of training programs at IBS or through our own well-respected Ajyal graduate developmen­t program, also conducted in conjunctio­n with IBS, which seeks to build a large cadre of Kuwaiti bankers for the Bank and for Kuwait.”
