11th Jaber Al-Ahmad Championship for Cars and Motorcycles opens today
KUWAIT: Jaber Al-Ahmad Circuit on the 6th Ring Road is hosting the 11th Jaber AlAhmad Championship for Cars and Motorcycles, organized by the Kuwait Motorsports Club. The event will be held on Feb 16, 17 and 18, and attendance to all activities is free of charge. “This championship is organized annually. This year is very unique, as we have a special performance by a professional freestyle MX motocross team from Europe. They will present the show on Thursday and Friday at 9:00 pm at Jaber arena, with live coverage by KTV3,” Sheikh Ahmad Al-Dawood, President of Kuwait Motorsports Club, told Kuwait Times.
A drift show, meeting point expo, karting and a live music performance will be held during the event. Local and international drivers will show their talent and skills in drifting.
On Friday, a band from Yemen will perform at 6:30 pm, and on Saturday, an Indian band will perform at the same time. Visitors can also try their skills in karting and participate in the races by registering at the venue free of charge. Around 30 booths selling food, beverages, merchandise, accessories and other stuff will be available during the three-day festival.
“I invite all people to come and visit the festival with their families, as we have activities for all ages and categories. The venue can welcome up to 6,000 people, so don’t miss these great activities,” Sheikh Ahmad said.
