In line with the Bank’s commitment to actively contribute to national economic development, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently provided its gold sponsorship to the 4th ‘Future Makers’ project, organized by the Kuwait Industries Union (KIU). Following the success of the first three editions of the project, “Future Makers 4” returned this year with an occupational training program, designed specifically for newly graduated students looking to work in the industrial sector.

The latest edition of the program focused on practical training and on-site experience. The program included introductory meetings for the participating students at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It also featured introductory meetings for soon-to-graduate students from both the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) and the American University of the Middle East (AUM), as well as students from the College of Technological Studies (CTS). “Future Makers 4” also included field visits to industrial areas in Sabhan and Ashrej, as well as an internship program within the industrial sector.

Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, stated: “KIB’s sponsorship of this project comes in line with our continuous efforts to support youth across all fields and sectors, as we believe that they are the architects of the future and the leaders of tomorrow. Our participation also reflects our commitment to helping realize the vision of His Highness the Amir regarding the importance of encouraging the development of all sectors in the country, most importantly the local industrial sector in an effort to transform Kuwait into a financial and trade hub in the region.”

Meanwhile, Director General at KIU, Huda Al-Baqshi, thanked all the sponsors of the program, adding that their support embodies the true principles of partnership between the public and private sectors. Baqshi also noted that there is a global trend of countries focusing on supporting creative economies and developing local industries, given their role as important sources of national income. Accordingly, KIU seeks to develop projects and initiatives that contribute to advancing the local industrial sector, in addition to developing programs that aim to encourage youth to enter the industrial sector, said Baqshi.

It serves to note that through its comprehensive social responsibility program, KIB has devoted special attention to supporting educational initiatives targeting the youth segment, which seek to enhance their abilities and stimulate their creative and productive energies. In doing so, the Bank aims to support young talents, helping them achieve their dreams and enabling them to contribute positively towards building a better future for Kuwait.
