KIB sponsors the 5th Ideal Mother Award
In line with its ongoing support of people with disabilities, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced its sponsorship of the 5th Ideal Mother Award honoring mothers of disabled children. Organized by Al-Kharafi Activity Kids Center, under the patronage of the President of the Kuwait Foundation for Disabled Children, Sabeeka Al-Jasser, the Award sought to recognize the efforts hard work and dedication of mothers of children with mental disabilities.
A press conference was recently held to announce the winners of this year’s Award, with winners from Kuwait, the GCC and the Arab region. The press conference was attended by the Secretary General and the President of the organizing committee for the Ideal Mother Award, as well as a diverse group of participating parties and sponsors.
Speaking at the press conference, Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at the Bank, said: “KIB’s sponsorship of this award for the third consecutive year reflects our belief in the need to recognize the pivotal role parents play in the lives of children with disabilities. This is especially true of mothers, who not only nurture their children but also push them to overcome their disabilities, helping them channel these very disabilities into positive action for the benefit of themselves and their community.” He added that this sponsorship came as part of KIB’s strategy to support people with disabilities, as the Bank is keen on supporting and sponsoring all initiatives that target this segment. Within this context, Najia pointed out that KIB recently redesigned six of its branches in order to accommodate the needs of customers with special needs, including those who are visually impaired and deaf.
