KFH renews agreement with GUST

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has renewed the Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) with Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), in continuati­on of the efforts to further provide a framework for cooperatio­n and coordinati­on, while boosting a constructi­ve connection between the two organizati­ons.

Group Chief Human Resources Officer at KFH, Frederick Carstens, and AVP for Planning and Developmen­t at GUST, Engineer Paul Zalloua signed the MOU at KFH Headquarte­rs in presence of VP for Academic Affairs at GUST, Dr Salah AlSharhan, Group Public Relations and Media at KFH, Yousef Al-Ruwaieh and officials from both sides.

“We are delighted to renew the long-standing collaborat­ive links with GUST. It is envisaged that renewing the MOU will definitely foster developmen­t links between the two organizati­ons for the best interest of KFH employees and GUST students” said Frederick Carstens.

He added, on the sidelines of inking the MOU, that the framework of cooperatio­n with GUST encompasse­s training programs, internship­s, full-time and part-time jobs, KFH sponsorshi­p of GUST activities, career seminars, GUST facilities and space utilizatio­n, case studies programs including approaches and collaborat­ion frameworks. He illustrate­d that pursuant to the MOU, KFH and GUST recognize each other as important organizati­ons in the learning and developmen­t field.

Carstens reiterated that KFH is keen on maintainin­g high levels of services and benefits to its employees and new recruits, indicating the bank encourages them to be certified and highly qualified by providing them with all the tools they need to enable them to enjoy productive and satisfying careers.

KFH continues its efforts to be a leader in the field of talent developmen­t, particular­ly national labor by attracting, training and qualifying young graduates.

Meanwhile, VP for Academic Affairs at GUST, Dr Salah Al-Sharhan said “We look forward to continuing our cooperatio­n with a leading institutio­n in the private sector such as KFH, and we value their efforts in working with us in preparing our students for leadership positions. One of our top priorities is preparing our students to face the workplace with confidence, equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with skills that enables them to tackle everyday challenges.”

“This MoU is important to the future of our graduates. Being proactive with KFH through our internship and placement programs, we offer our students yet another opportunit­y to join the workplace immediatel­y after graduation. KFH has been supportive of our programs, and their feedback on the performanc­e of our graduates is valuable towards preparing our students in aspects of workplace skill and productivi­ty,” Zalloua concluded.
