Ibtikar Al-Kuwait’s Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Al-Sabah’s students competitions conclude
Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh stressed that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s sponsorship to Ibtikar Al-Kuwait competition reflects his endless support to creative students, as well as his commitment to encourage them to develop scientific research and creative thinking skills.
Speaking to reporters while attending the conclusion ceremony of Ibtikar Al-Kuwait’s Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Al-Sabah’s annual competitions for students researches and projects, Sabeeh stressed that His Highness the Amir’s support stems out of his vision to turn Kuwait into an international financial and commercial hub. “This Kuwaiti initiative inspires its principles from His Highness the Amir, the Humanitarian Leader, in terms of spreading science and culture,” she underlined.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of Al-Saad Charity for Knowledge and Scientific Research Sheikh Fadia Al-Saad Al-Sabah said that the charity was established in 2009 with the aim of encouraging scientific talents and creating a new generation capable of developing Kuwait in various fields. She added that the charity has signed agreements with the Ministry of Education, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, and the UNESCO with the aim of enhancing partnerships and achieving sustainable development through setting a quota for women contribution in various fields.
In the meantime, the initiative’s manager Dr Fatima Al-Hashim said that the project started with kindergarten students then expanded to include all educational stages, including high school and college.
