Commenting on plans for expansion, Alghanim went on to say: “This will be one of many more restaurants to come in the Middle East, and we are enthusiastic about expanding the brand throughout the region. We see huge potential in this segment and we believe it will be hugely successful, both in and outside of Kuwait.”

Founded in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Slim Chickens is committed to providing a “Life-Changing Chicken” experience in its sector of the restaurant industry with a focus on high quality, fresh chicken. The down-home Southern brand features hand-breaded and grilled chicken tenders and wings, fresh ingredients paired with a selection of 14 handmade dipping sauces, all to render exceptional flavors that continue to earn admiration from guests and food critics in the United States.

Slim Chickens CEO and Co-Founder, Tom Gordon, said: “We are very excited to open our first international restaurant in Kuwait, where customers will indeed enjoy the real homemade taste of Slim Chickens in a truly Southern experience. We wouldn’t have chosen any other than Alghanim Industries to lead in our MENA expansion and deliver real food, social meals, and commitment to local communities. The partnership will allow us to expand our vision and voice in a new and expansive capacity, and connect with valued guests throughout the MENA region.”

In a southern ambience, Slim Chickens in Kuwait uses all fresh ingredients to preserve the same standards of superior quality and taste in every bite, in addition to the Southern hospitality in service and great experience.

On this occasion, the Vice President of Food and Beverage Division at Alghanim Industries, Phil Broad, said: “We are very proud to introduce one of the fastest growing brands within its segment in the United States: Slim Chickens. It is the newest addition in our Food and Beverage portfolio, which launched in 2013 and expanded its footprint in Kuwait, UAE and soon Saudi Arabia. The opening of the Slim Chickens outside its home country is proof of our commitment to spread this very distinct experience in Kuwait and across the region. We thank Tom and Greg, who have traveled here from the US, and all our guests for joining us at the opening of the first Slim Chickens restaurant in the Middle East.” Alghanim Industries is actively expanding its food and beverage (F&B) portfolio, which began in 2013 with a franchise agreement that enabled it to penetrate the coffee shop market in Kuwait. The company recently expanded further through entering the “better chicken” segment of fast-casual restaurants, and is rapidly growing its F&B portfolio.

Customers are invited to experience the new and fresh tastes of Southern meals at Slim Chickens’ stand-alone building on Blajat Street in Salmiya, serving customers for dine-in and take-away meals from 11:00 am to 1:00 am every day.
