YMCA Kuwait bible quiz 2017

YMCA Kuwait conducted its fifth annual bible quiz for the members from all the churches in Kuwait at Light House Church, NECK, Kuwait City. The portion of the Bible on which the quiz was based were taken from the books of Genesis, Zachariah, Luke and Revelation. Out of the 11 teams registered, 9 teams have attended and actively participat­ed. The Quiz was managed by an Event Management Group lead by Quiz masters E M Jacob and Finny Cheriyan along with Mathew John for Technical support, Joji K Varghese and Ligish Joy as tabulators and Varghese Mathew and E M Jacob as Judges. The whole event was managed in a well profession­al manner.

Out of the nine teams, six teams were qualified to the final round. The first three winners of the YMCA Kuwait Bible Quiz 2017 were the following churches. First winner - IPC Church, Ahmadi qualified for Mariam Ever Rolling Trophy, second winner - St Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Salmiya qualified for Dr A T Varghese and Family Ever Rolling Trophy, third winner - St Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church (Maha Edavaka) qualified for Mathew Eapen and Family Ever Rolling Trophy. The trophies, medals and certificat­es were distribute­d by Rev Prince Korah of St James Mar Thoma Church, Salmiya and Rev Johnson Alexander of St Peters CSI Congregati­on, Kuwait.

The Event was inaugurate­d by Rev Georgie Varghese of Kuwait City Mar Thoma Church. The meeting was presided over by YMCA Kuwait president, Dr A T Varghese. Parimanam Manoj welcomed the gathering. CA. Mathew Varkey worked as the convener for the Bible Quiz event and Ajosh Mathew compeered the program of the day. Joseph, Joint convener, gave the vote of thanks.
