Council mulls mobile trailers for small business owners
Chairman of the Municipal Council’s legal and financial affairs committee Ali Al-Moussa stressed the council members’ keenness on supporting youth and the private sector. Moussa added that the committee will discuss a charter on mobile trailer outlets as a new idea that can be used by young people who are eager to start their own small businesses.
Domestic labor
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anas Al-Saleh said the domestic labor recruitment company will start operations by the end of August, when all the company regulations are finalized to provide it with technological equipment and skilled staff.

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah issued ministerial decisions appointing Maj Gen Sheikh Mohammed Yousef Al-Sabah as assistant undersecretary for border security affairs, Maj Gen Abdullah Yousef Al-Muhanna as assistant undersecretary for correctional facilities and verdict execution and Maj Gen Khaled Al-Deyyeen as assistant undersecretary for criminal security affairs to replace Maj Gen Abdul Hameed AlAwadhi, who was referred to retirement as a lieutenant general.
Road projects
The Ministry of Public Works’ (MPW) Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Engineering Ahmad Al-Hassan said his sector have referred the contracts of building, executing and maintaining roads and bridges in South Surra to Minister Abdul Rahman Al-Mutawa to be signed. Hassan said that the total cost of the contract is KD 94.1 million and that the project aims at facilitating traffic flows and reducing traffic accidents in the area.
In other news, MPW has seconded Kuwait Municipality’s opinion about the infeasibility of linking Failaka Island and Silk City. In this regard, Hassan sent a letter in which he stressed that the project will need a massive budget and a special feasibility studies.
