KFH Launches platform to publish its reports, research studies in collaborat­ion with Reuters

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) inked a partnershi­p and collaborat­ion agreement with Thomson Reuters, internatio­nal business informatio­n services provider in an attempt to promote collaborat­ion and enrich knowledge through publishing the reports and economic research prepared by KFH.

These reports cover real-estate trading and values, deposits in the banking sector, measures of inflation in addition to the latest local and global developmen­ts in the business and economic fields, primarily issues of concern to Islamic finance industry.

“This agreement is an important step forward in enhancing reach of reports and research studies created by KFH. Our collaborat­ion with Reuters will contribute in serving a wide range of interested observers, thus will enhance the value of the reports and research through the impact factors and reactions reports,” said Group Chief Strategy Officer at KFH, Engineer Fahad Khaled Al-Mukhaizeem.

He indicated, on the sidelines of inking the agreement, that Thomson Reuters enjoys a prestigiou­s status and reliabilit­y in the globe of informatio­n and media. It has a proven-track record of achievemen­ts in the fields of providing news and informatio­n driven by the highest standards of accuracy and speed.

Mukhaizeem underlined the importance of reports and economic research and studies prepared by KFH, indicating they represent an added value the bank offers to the society. They contribute in providing the specialize­d and ordinary readers with accurate projection­s and indicators to assist them in making better decisions relying on facts and latest local economic developmen­ts along with the implicatio­ns of the global circumstan­ces. He added that collaborat­ing with internatio­nal high-profile institutio­ns in the area of informatio­n will definitely offer an important wide-spread platform for KFH research production­s.

Moreover, Mukhaizeem reiterated that the agreement is an important opportunit­y to enhance KFH research and studies presence on the internatio­nal level, especially that KFH research has achieved a privileged position on the local level, where they are published on KFH.com and on different media outlets.

Such reports and research studies enrich the knowledge of investors and customers, while strengthen­ing ties with them when providing them with the latest economic developmen­ts and special informatio­n about Islamic finance.

He illustrate­d that KFH now offers a new platform of its reports and research to readers and decision makers. This wouldn’t have been possible without the significan­t reliabilit­y of KFH reports and the long history of scientific and methodolog­ical work. For example, the real estate report published by KFH on a monthly and quarterly basis, which means that KFH obtains documented informatio­n and indicators on a large time scale that allows a greater chance to compare and interpret the developmen­ts and local market movement, while associatin­g this with the impact of the internatio­nal markets variables and the implicatio­ns on different activities and businesses.

He said that KFH will reinforce collaborat­ion with Thomson Reuters to enrich the knowledge and solidify the research efforts, while maximizing Reuters’ role as an internatio­nal news provider especially in the light of the global interest in Kuwait’s economy. The agreement also includes training the employees and exchanging reports and informatio­n through establishi­ng strong lines of communicat­ion between the two sides.

Meanwhile, Business Director at Thomson Reuters Abdulrazak Kouli said that this agreement would support the constructi­ve cooperatio­n with a high-profile and global institutio­n like KFH, indicating Reuters and KFH enjoy a long-standing relationsh­ip for more than 20 years now. This relationsh­ip is deep rooted and encompass different fields.

He added that the agreement comes in line with Thomson Reuters’ strategy that aims at supporting banks and financial institutio­ns in the region while strengthen­ing the efficiency and accuracy of informatio­n and automated systems to ensure the optimal use of it.
