Ooredoo welcomes brand ambassador after victory
Ooredoo Kuwait, Kuwait’s fastest network, welcomed its brand ambassador, the young Kuwaiti athlete Abdulaziz Al-Rashed in the Kuwait Airport’s VIP hall last week after winning the XterraOffroad Triathlon in Tahiti. AlRashed is the only Arab contestant to win this title. He was received by representatives of Ooreodo, the Public Authority for Sports, in addition to hundreds of his fans and supporters.
Commenting on this, Director of Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Kuwait Mijbil Alayoub said: “We’re proud of our young athlete Abdulaziz AlRashed for his achievement in Tahiti, and we’re certain that he will make more achievements in the future with the right support. Our sponsorship from Abdulaziz stems from our deep-rooted belief in enabling youth to reach their potential.”
Al-Rashed’s recent title enables him to compete in bigger championships internationally. During the period of his sponsorship with Ooredoo, he won first place in Kuwait’s Triathlon which was held at the Corniche Club. He also won the third position in Sharm El-Sheikh ALAMEDA Triathlon, which represents the pinnacle of triathlon competitions in Egypt, providing recreational triathletes with a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete on the same course as Africa’s and Arabs’ known champions. The tournament attracted hundreds of audiences to watch both the amateurs and the professionals including Africa’s best players.
